Websites worth reading

Dear Dairy,

Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram are some of the websites i check out everyday, and love but i also check out:

PostSecret.com- Every Sunday he reloads new secrets and its sometimes the highlight of my day. Just reading them gives me so much hope for others and sometimes not feel alone knowing how others feel. The books are also so fun to read!

CraftFail.com- Is so funny because i think we all have done something and it turns out NOTHING like the photo, this is basically that all peoples craft/cooking fails. I should send in a few of my crafts and cooking that were a complete flop!

EpicFail.com- I have this as an app but keeps me entertained for so long, i actually think i have seen most of the photos. You would be surprised how stupid people can be, what they think looks good and just some gross stuff sometimes.

You know something isn't too good when my bf won't finish something. It was just odd and a little too healthy tasting.

Amazing Homes

Dear Diary,
Working as a residential organizer 3+ years ago had its ups and downs. I didn't mind doing it, i actually liked helping other people get organized i just didn't like the working situation and who i was working for. I did how ever get to go in some AMAZING homes.
We worked with a very well known designer in the bay area who basically took over the clients homes, redesigned them completely; its every designers dream!
One day i was searching online design websites when i came across many homes i had been in.

This house had been in the SF Designers Showcase. It had been tweaked a bit once the family moved in but these rooms stayed the same.

This house wasn't huge but beautiful, one of my favorites.

This house was off the hook! It had two address it was SO BIG. The family was SO nice too.

Current Obsessions

Dear Diary,
What i am loving right now...

I just finished this book: Saving Cece Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman. It was very good and an easy read. Set in the 60's in the south. I highly suggest this book to anyone, especially if you liked The Help.

The Ghost Whisperer has been my favorite tv show for 4+ years now, sadly there isn't a new season but that doesn't stop me from watching the DVD's. I think i have seen every episode 3+ times.

Alice at 97.3 is a local bay area radio station that i listen to, especially in the morning. They have the BEST morning show! and a secret show podcast that talks all about sex, bad advise and relationships. My friend got me started on them and now its the only thing i listen to in the morning and at work.

These next two things are from Ikea. This black and white striped throw is the perfect weight for summer nights and to add a bit of bold pattern to any living room. The pink and white striped tray currently is in my bedroom but i can't wait to bring it outside and serve cold drinks on it in front of my backyard fire pit. Girly?! yes please!

My breakfast every morning is Muscle Milk with low fat vanilla soy milk. It keeps me full for a long time, has a ton of protein and is supper easy to make. What's not to like about that?

Peonies are blooming right now, they are my fav flower. I love that they start out so small and bright and turn into this crazy light flower. They last at least a week if you buy them when they are supper closed and bring such life to your dining table or bedside.

My Story

Dear Diary,
I use to keep a diary as a kid.
It kept all my deepest secrets like who i had a crush on, what friends i was mad at, why i hated my parents you know typical kid secrets. I loved looking back years later at my diary, only to realize i didn't have it so bad. I grew up with a great life, typical family of four; father went to work, mother stayed home with my brother and i. Lived in a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house had a cat named max; it was just your typical life.

Life changed fast in 2004 when my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. But life didn't stop, she endured radiation, chemo and surgery within that year. Looking back it was one big blur. She got through it and went into remission. We all thought it was over. It wasn't. 2008 it came back and this time it had spread to her lungs. It was slow growing and stuburn. She went though so much chemo, trial drugs but nothing worked. Late 2010 we knew there was little hope, it was going to win. February 19th 2011 she took her last breath and was finally free of pain.

The next few days after she died i wasn't sure how i was going to make it. I was a mess, she was my best freind, my Frimmy.  But life went on. Fast forward a month and I met a boy. There was something about him that made my heart race, feel myself & let go of my past and be a open book.
It's now been almost 15 months and he is the one, well I just need the ring but that will follow.
Last but not least let's throw a kidney transplant in there. Oct. 2011 my brother gave my dad his kidney. My Dad's kidney had slowly been declining to the point where he needed a new kidney to live.
That in a nut shell has been my life for the last year and a half. It has been the worst and the best year/s of my life.
